Who we are
Asimam is a civil development association formed by 430 people from Maya-Mam and Kiche villages. The association was initiated in 1992 with the aim of achieving socioeconomic development.
We are working in 8 rural communities, 6 of them from Mam villages and the other 2 from the Kiche village. 95% of the people involved are women.
Our country suffered much during the civil war. Since then our communities have been striving to reach full development.
